Paddington Bear will make a special appearance at the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards, where he is set to both attend and present during Britain’s biggest night in film.
The ceremony will take place on Sunday 22 February at 7.00pm on BBC One and iPlayer, with Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s artistic director Alan Cumming hosting the awards.
BAFTA has also confirmed a major musical moment for the ceremony, as the singing stars behind Netflix’s global hit KPop Demon Hunters will perform their worldwide hit “Golden” live for the first time outside the United States.
Singer-songwriter Jessie Ware will deliver an exclusive live performance during the ceremony’s In Memoriam segment, honouring members of the film industry who have died over the past year.
Emma Baehr, BAFTA’s executive director of Awards and Content, said: “We are delighted to welcome so many of this year’s remarkable nominees to London for the EE BAFTA Film Awards, a vibrant celebration of the creativity, craft and collaboration that goes into British and global cinema.
“It’s especially exciting to have such an impressive line-up of presenters joining us on the night, representing the very best of film and the wider creative industries. This year’s ceremony is set to be an unforgettable occasion for audiences at home and in the room.”
